Quality of Herbal Products: Analysis, Efficacy, Safety & Regulatory Aspects
October 16–17, 2026, Sheraton Istanbul Levent, Türkiye

This congress offers a focused scientific platform dedicated to key aspects of the quality, efficacy, safety, and regulatory issues of herbal products. The program includes keynote lectures,  oral and poster presentations, and expert panel discussions on the following core topics:

  • Quality control and standardization of herbal products
  • Evaluation of efficacy and health claims: non-clinical and clinical evidence, traditional use, and well-established use concepts
  • Safety assessment of herbal products, including toxicological evaluation, herb–drug interactions, and post-marketing surveillance (pharmacovigilance)
  • Phytochemical profiling and marker-based standardization in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Regulatory classification and approval pathways for herbal medicines, traditional herbal medicinal products, and botanical dietary supplements
  • Identification, authentication, and quality assessments of herbal products (botanical, chromatographic, spectroscopic, metabolomic, and DNA-based techniques)
  • Detection and control of adulterants, contaminants, and residues
  • AI-driven applications in botanicals
  • Concominent use of herbal products in metabolic diseases
  • Comparative regulatory frameworks and harmonization efforts, challenges (WHO, EMA, FDA, TITCK)

By integrating scientific evidence, quality assurance, and regulatory frameworks, the congress aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and strengthen international collaboration in herbal product research and development.
